Homolovi Chapter
Arizona Archaeological Society

The Homolovi Chapter of the Arizona Archaeological Society is located in
Winslow,Arizona and has a "friends" relationship with Homolovi Ruins State Park.
The chapter works cooperatively with the park and with the Hopi Tribe to sponsor
special programs and activities including monthly meetings of the archaeological
society at the Winslow Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center (the historic Hubbell
Trading Post, 523 West 2nd St, Winslow, AZ). These meetings often feature speakers
and the programs are open to the public.

We invite you to join our chapter! Membership includes benefits provided by the
AAS- including a copy of our annual publication (usually a research report) and a
copy of our newsletter, The Petroglyph. Membership also includes insurance for
Society activities.

Membership in our chapter includes more detailed information on chapter activities,
discounts in our museum shop, and the opportunity to assist Homolovi Ruins State
Park with their programs and activities. We hope that you will join the AAS!

NOTE: We encourage you to receive your subscription to The Petroglyph by
email. This will save the society quite a bit of money and may postpone
increases in membership dues!

Membership in the Arizona Archaeological Society provides a number of benefits such as receiving the monthly newsletter The
Petroglyph with its many announcements of upcoming activities and summaries of activities by the chapters. The Petroglyph is
published 10 times a year. You can choose to receive it either via e-mail or by USPS mail. The e-mail version may have color
pictures and is delivered early. The e-mail version may save a tree or two and will cost your society less. Please check below
which delivery method you would like to have.

To participate in AAS classes in archaeological techniques, join a dig, or enjoy the thrill of a field trip led by professionals to
archaeological sites in Arizona, also requires membership in AAS (membership not required for workshops at Homolovi Ruins
State Park). If you want to join as an out-of-state "at large" member or would like to join a different chapter, please go to the AAS
