Arizona Archaeological Society is the parent organization for the Homolovi Chapter. Visit their site to
learn about archaeology, activities, and concerns throughout Arizona. Chapters are located throughout Arizona.
This organization is mainly for non-professional people interested in archaeology. Benefits of membership include
a monthly newsletter, an annual publication, and insurance for participation in field trips and other special

Casa Malpais Chapter of the Arizona Archaeological Society is associated with the
Casa Malpais Archaeological Park near Springerville, Arizona. As part of our effort to assist Hopi artists in
marketing their work, we have a cooperative agreement with this chapter to place authentic,
high-quality Hopi art work in their museum shop on a consignment basis.
Arizona Archaeological and Historical Society "AAHS was founded in 1916. It is a nonprofit,
educational organization affiliated with the Arizona State Museum... AAHS provides a forum for professionals in
archaeology and related fields as well as the general public to share their common interests and enthusiasm for
the Southwest's rich cultural history. Activities, announced monthly in the newsletter, Glyphs, provide educational
and social opportunities to explore these interests. The Society's quarterly journal, Kiva, publishes original
research in southwestern anthropology and history, and is an internationally recognized professional journal. "

Arizona State Parks manages historical, natural, and recreational sites throughout Arizona
Homolovi Ruins State Park is the "home" of the Homolovi Chapter of the AAS and the location of
our Homolovi Museum Shop. The park includes four major pueblo ruins, a visitor center with the museum
shop and exhibits, and a campground with water and electric hookups, a dump station, and hot showers.
The park offers self-guiding tours and many special events and activities. The park interprets the natural
and cultural history of northeastern Arizona with an emphasis on the Hopi culture.
Arizona State Historic Preservation Office "The State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), a division
of Arizona State Parks, is responsible for the identification, evaluation, and protection of Arizona's prehistoric and
historic cultural resources."
Center for Desert Archaeology "The Center for Desert Archaeology, a private nonprofit organization,
promotes the stewardship of southwestern archaeology and historic resources in the American Southwest and
Mexican Northwest through active research, preservation, and public education."
Hopi Cultural Preservation Office Official web site for this agency of the Hopi Tribe.
Hopi Office of Economic Development home page includes a schedule of activities, a list of tour
guides, a list of businesses on the mesas, and a list of artists. This seems to be a well organized and maintained
page.
Institute of Museums and Library Services "The Institute's mission is to create strong libraries
and museums that connect people to information and ideas." This organization has provided a grant to the Hopi
Tribe which is being used to fund Hopi speakers and Hopi artist demonstrations at Homolovi Ruins State Park.
